I read this in an email Friday morning, and though I know that we know, I thought I’d share.
“God comes to us where we are.”
To me, that means that in our happiest moments, in our saddest moments, in our elation, in our distress, God comes to us.
The Word tells us to seek Him and we will find Him. I believe that. I believe that when we DO seek Him, we find that He is right there with us, in the midst of whatever we are going through (good or bad), waiting for us to acknowledge His presence.
I believe that He’s ALWAYS where we are. When we are down to our lowest we feel we’ve ever been, He’s there. He’s BEEN there. He came to us RIGHT there even BEFORE we got there….only we may not have known it because we were not looking for Him at the time.
The best thing about God coming to us where we are, regardless of what our situation might be, is that He’s reachable with just a word: Jesus.
We can just call His name and He’s there. We don’t have to wait for peace and comfort, our faith has that covered. God is with us…Emmanuel…God is with us right where we are…wherever there might be.
Good news to look forward to going into a new day…a new week…a new year.
Happy New Year!
